2. Are there any special discounts for early bookings?
Customers who book in advance and pay the full cost of their tours ahead of time will enjoy a special discounted rate and also will be entitled with a 50 AED gift voucher.
3. Is there any special discount rate for "Group bookings"?
Certainly. Dubai Desert Riders offers a discount rate for group bookings of more than 10 people. The discount rate depends on how large the group is. The larger the group, the higher the discount.
4. How do I book a tour or package?
You can easily book your tour or package on our website and in any step of the process you can contact our customer care. You can make the payments online (credit card/debit card) or you can select the “Cash on Pick up” option and pay when you're picked up by your driver/tour guide.
5. Is there any surcharge on Debit/Credit card transactions?
Additional fees or surcharges of 2.5 % will be levied for credit and debit card transactions as well as for bank transfers. We accept Visa and Mastercard.
B. Traveling to UAE
1. Is a visa required to enter the UAE?
GCC citizens such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia do not require a visa to visit the UAE. But citizens from the following countries including all the 28 EU member states are eligible for a free-of-charge visiting visa upon arrival at all the UAE airports or other points of entry. Countries such as Australia, Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, United States of America, United Kingdom and the Vatican do require a visa which is valid for 30 days and is renewable once.
Citizens from other countries not mentioned above require a visa and a sponsor for their visa application

3. Who are the valid sponsors for visa application?
Hotels and Travel Agencies can apply on your behalf for a Tourist Visa (valid for 30 days), Transit Visa (valid for 14 days), and a Visiting Visa (valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days).
Airlines & Airline Handlers can apply on behalf of their crew members.
Organizations based in the UAE.
Individuals (relatives or friends) who are already the residents of the UAE (subject to guidelines).
C. Safety
1. Is it safe to visit Dubai and the rest of the Emirates?
The crime rates in UAE are extremely low and the officials say that the tourists have very little to worry concerning their personal safety. Political and civil unrest throughout the country is very rare. Nevertheless, like in any other place in the world, safety precautions are still recommended. And since it is a Muslim country, religious sensitiveness should be taken into consideration.
D. Local culture
1. What is the dress code of the UAE?
The Emirates have varying degrees of tolerance to clothing styles. In Dubai, the dress code is quite liberal; most normal clothing is tolerated provided it is modest and not too outrageous. However, in other Emirates, it is advisable to tone down the dress code to something more modest. The best to remain covered from shoulder to at least below the knees.
2. Is public display of affection allowed in the UAE?
Though the country is relatively a tolerant place to stay, there is a requirement for a modest code of behavior. Holding hands and a peck on the cheek by couples is fine. However, kissing, canoodling and fondling in the public whether it’s with your husband or not is regarded as an indecent behavior and can be an offense. This may even lead to police arrest if caught.
3. Are there any restrictions with regards to clicking photographs, especially the local/Emirati and Government establishments?
Photographing the government buildings and military installations should be avoided. And it is considered offensive to photograph Muslim women. However, it still depends upon the person whom you have photographed. It is always courteous to ask permission and if they refuse, don’t get offended.
4. Is alcohol and pork consumption allowed in the UAE?
Alcohol consumption in the UAE is only permitted to certain designated areas, such as licensed restaurants and bars attached to the hotels. But one is still expected to behave properly when under the influence of alcohol. There are chances to get arrested if found drunk and disorderly in a public area.
Muslims are not allowed to prepare, serve and eat pork. But for non-Muslims, pork can be purchased from selected supermarkets and is usually kept separated from the main area. Eating pork is allowed only inside private homes.
